Armani Gets in Tune With Samsung

MILAN – Italian clothing designer Giorgio Armani has announced he is entering into a deal with South Korea’s Samsung to develop a high-end line of designer electronics, the Wall Street Journal reports. Under the deal, Armani will design electronics that will then be built by Samsung and distributed in Armani’s boutiques. His first offering, a credit-card sized cellphone, was unveiled today at a fashion show in Milan.
“We make as much of a personal statement with the mobile phones that we carry or the televisions we have in our living rooms as we do with the shoes and bags we wear or the furnishings we choose to place in our homes,” Mr. Armani said in a prepared statement.
